SCOPE OF SERVICES OFFERED:
PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT:
DEVELOPMENTAL SKILLS:
- Project types: Renovation of existing homes and condominiums. Working directly with the owners to provide direction on hiring an architect, General Contractor and the permit process.
- Perform hard bid and preliminary budgeting proposals
- Source an qualify Subcontractors and their bids
- Qualify and outline scopes of work
- Responsible for contract documents and change orders
- Produce accurate and complete bids from the general contractor on behalf of the client, including all required bid and owner forms. Assure that the estimates, including general conditions, are accurate, complete and reflect the actual requirements of the project
- Able to learn quickly, acquire knowledge to work on new project types and continue to expand my knowledge of construction projects
PROTOTYPE DEVELOPMENT:
- Develop and research prototype and development projects
- Have experience working with owners and developer to coordinate and develop projects from preconstruction through the bidding process
- Researching and pricing new products
DEVELOPMENTAL SKILLS:
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications and other documents
- Analyze plans for errors and omissions based on observations and Subcontractor input
- Worked to develop estimating forms, bid invitations and bid qualification forms
- Ability to work and manage multiple projects, as well as, set up and maintain project deadlines
- Excellent writer and verbal communication skills
- Willing to work with others as a team player
- Ability to perform under pressure and evaluate situations and make accurate decisions immediately
- Organized with strong technical and problem solving skills
- Ability to interface with Subcontractors, suppliers and designers while developing a bid as needed

After obtaining my degree in Occupational Therapy I was hired to work with an architect and developer of group homes to ensure the homes they were designing and building were ADA complaint. I found I really enjoyed the construction phase of the work and transitioned to working in the construction industry. I have over 30 years of experience working in both residential and commercial construction as an project estimator and project coordinator.
